Is it permissible for the husband to pay the Zakat on his wife's money if she stopped working due to marriage and is unable to pay the Zakat from the profits of her money?

Zakat becomes obligatory when wealth reaches the nisab (minimum threshold) and a hawl (full lunar year) passes over it. It is one of the pillars of Islam, and the general rule is that the accountable individual performs it themselves. However, it is permissible for someone to voluntarily pay Zakat on behalf of another if they have their permission, regardless of whether the payer of Zakat is capable or not, and regardless of whether the volunteer is a relative or a stranger. This is because the intention (for giving Zakat) must come from the owner of the wealth. If the husband, father, or anyone else pays Zakat on behalf of a woman with her permission, this is permissible.
