Is reading the Qur'an from a computer sufficient as opposed to reading from a physical mushaf, and is ablution (wudu') required for this type of reading?

There is no difference between reading the Qur’an from a paper Mushaf or an electronic one. What matters is the act of reading, moving the lips, and looking at the inscribed words of Allah, and this is achieved in both. The reader will receive the reward of reciting ten good deeds for every letter, as stated in the Hadith. Wudu' (ablution) is not a prerequisite for reading the Qur’an; rather, it is a condition for touching the Mushaf, based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "None should touch the Qur’an except one who is pure." Therefore, there is no harm in reading from electronic screens without wudu', as it does not constitute touching the Mushaf.
