What is the ruling on naming something permissible with the name of something impermissible, even though the intention is not to forbid it?
If a person labels something permissible as forbidden out of forgetfulness or ignorance of the religious ruling, then there is no sin upon him, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah has pardoned for my Community their mistakes, their forgetfulness, and what they are coerced into." However, if he does so intentionally, then it is a falsehood, and he must repent, seek forgiveness, and guard his tongue.
