Is marriage to an Irish man, divorced, twenty-two years my senior, with two daughters, who recently embraced Islam at my hands, a trial from God or a blessing?

If a woman sees benefit in marrying a man after performing Istikhara, and she has verified the soundness of his Islam and observed signs of his uprightness and truthfulness, then there is no legal impediment to that. It may be a bounty or a trial. It is advisable to consult people of knowledge and sound judgment, and to assign some brothers to interact with the man to ascertain the extent of his sincerity in his commitment to Islam.
