What is the ruling on spending the night in Muzdalifah if one is unable to do so, and does it require a blood offering?

If effort was made to stay overnight in Muzdalifah but it was not possible, then no expiatory offering (fidyah) is required from the pilgrim or those with him for not staying overnight; this is based on the Almighty's saying: (Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity) and (So fear Allah as much as you are able). Whoever stoned Jamrat al-Aqaba, performed the circumambulation of Ifadah (Tawaf al-Ifadah), and performed the ritual walking (sa'i) before midnight, this is not sufficient for them, and they must repeat it. As for the stoning, they must offer a sacrificial animal (hady) for having omitted it if they do not repeat it during the four days of Mina. However, if the stoning, circumambulation, and ritual walking were done after midnight, it is sufficient, and there is no sin upon you.
