What is the meaning of the noble verse: "She said, 'How can I have a son while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?'" in Surat Maryam up to verse number 23?

The verse is Mary's reply to Gabriel when he informed her that Allah would bestow upon her a pure boy. So she asked how she could have a child when she was neither married nor unchaste.
