What is the duty of two daughters towards their mother who abandoned them and got married, and is merely asking by phone sufficient for maintaining kinship ties, given the existence of animosity towards her new family?

"Filial piety is an emphasized duty. Allah has coupled gratitude to them with gratitude to Him, and kindness to them with His Oneness. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, coupled kindness to them with prayer and jihad. Allah commanded kindness to parents even if they are disbelievers. The mother is more deserving of kindness due to her carrying, breastfeeding, and suffering. Allah has threatened punishment for disobeying parents. The questioner and his sister must show filial piety to their mother, visit her, and seek her forgiveness; a phone call is not sufficient."
