What is the ruling on working in a Tunisian commercial establishment if the work involves sending requests for financial compensation payments to foreign suppliers for spare parts purchased from the local market, or changing data regarding the tractor's breakdown period or its operating hours, knowing that the worker is diligent in his prayers and fears he will not find another job?

It is not permissible for you to request money for changing spare parts for customers from the supplier without purchasing them from him, as this violates the condition, and because the responsibility for a defect lies with the seller. Similarly, it is not permissible to alter the tractor's breakdown period or its operating hours to obtain money for changing spare parts; this constitutes consuming people's wealth unlawfully, and involves lying and deception, as Allah Almighty says: "And do not consume one another's properties unjustly," and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever cheats us is not of us." Preserving congregational prayer deters from indecency and evil, and the unavailability of another job is not a justification for deceit and fraud. Fear Allah, for He will provide a way out for you and sustain you from where you do not expect.
