The answer

This is a weak , deemed weak by Al-Bukhari and others. It states that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered the houses of the Companions to be built away from the mosque, saying: "Indeed, I do not permit the mosque for a menstruating woman nor for one who is in a state of major ritual impurity (junub)." Despite the weakness of this hadith, the majority of jurists prohibit a menstruating woman from staying in the mosque based on other evidence.
