Is it permissible to liken a Muslim who carries the Quran to the Quran walking on earth, or is this likeness forbidden and only permissible for the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?

There is no impediment to saying: "He is a Qur'an walking on earth" for a Muslim if their intention is that he embodied the Qur'anic methodology. This description has appeared on the tongues of many scholars contemporary to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Companions and their Successors, and there is nothing in Islamic law that prohibits it. Al-Sha'rawi said about the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "And he was a Qur'an walking on earth, meaning: he was a complete application of the methodology he brought from the الحق, blessed and exalted be He." Al-Shinqiti said about the Companions: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not pass away until every one of his Companions was a Qur'an walking on the face of the earth." Al-Qarni said about some Muslim merchants: "They see his dealings, and behold, he is a Qur'an walking on earth, so they enter the religion of Allah in throngs."
