The answer

If the mother suffers from knee pain that causes her to lose concentration (khushu') or harms her, then she may pray sitting, especially if her doctor has advised her to do so, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Pray standing; if you are unable, then sitting; if you are unable, then on your side."

As for her visiting her friends, this does not mean that standing is obligatory for her during prayer.

Regarding (dry ablution), it is not permissible for her except in the absence of water or inability to use it. She is obliged to hire someone to help her with ablution if she is able; otherwise, she may perform tayammum.
