What should I do with my fiancé who insists on holding my hand, even though I swore by Allah that he would not hold my hand during the engagement period?

The suitor is a stranger to his fiancée as long as the marriage contract has not been concluded. Therefore, it is impermissible for him to seclude himself with her, touch her, or speak with her merely out of desire. What the suitor requests from his fiancée before the contract is undoubtedly forbidden. The fiancée must deal with this matter firmly, even if it leads to the annulment of the engagement. She must be keen on earning Allah's pleasure, for whoever seeks Allah's pleasure despite people's displeasure, Allah will suffice him against the burden of people. And if she is patient and adheres to Allah's boundaries, Allah will not abandon her.
