What are the limits of the relationship between an engaged couple, and what should the fiancée do if her fiancé repeatedly holds her hands after she has forgiven and warned him, and each time he says, "This is the last time"? And should she leave him because he is disobeying Allah by doing so?

The suitor must know that his fiancée is a stranger to him until the marriage contract is concluded. He is permitted to look at her initially for the purpose of marriage, but after that, it is not permissible for him to look at her, be alone with her, or touch her before the contract. What the suitor does, such as touching a woman who is a stranger to him, is not permissible and contradicts good morals. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, called this zina (fornication/adultery), saying: "The eyes commit zina, and their zina is looking; the ears commit zina, and their zina is listening; the tongue commits zina, and its zina is speaking; the hand commits zina, and its zina is touching; the foot commits zina, and its zina is walking; and the heart desires and wishes, and the private parts either confirm that or deny it." The fiancée must refrain from being alone with him, from submissive speech, and from allowing him to touch her or look at her. She must observe hijab in front of him until the marriage contract is concluded.
