The answer

A man's jealousy over his family is commendable if it arises from suspicion, but blameworthy if it stems from ill-will. A husband has a confirmed right to his wife's obedience, and her obedience to him takes precedence over that to her parents. He is her paradise and her hell. A wife's obedience to her husband in satisfying his desire is more important than her obedience to him in raising children and ensuring the family's well-being. A wife must make her husband feel her eagerness to please and obey him with love, not with resentment.

A wife's preservation of her home, husband, and children is more important than completing her studies. If it is impossible to combine both, then abandoning studies is preferable.

A husband's harshness may be due to problems, and the wife should create a calm family atmosphere, even if it means giving up some of her rights or enduring harm. This worldly life is full of problems, and no one is free from worry and distress.

A wise believer does not allow hatred to take hold between himself and his wife. Whatever dark side one may see in the other, there must be enough good to help them continue their journey together. Seek help from Allah and be patient, for victory comes with patience and relief with distress. You can start by solving the biggest problem, even if you postpone some other issues, and choose the problems you think you are capable of solving.

Do not think of destroying your home for the sake of completing your studies. What will remain of your faith and your worldly life if you become a divorcee with children in a harsh society? And how will you live with your children on your own, or leave them to their harsh father or a stepfather? Seek help from Allah and be patient, for victory comes with patience and relief with distress.
