The outward pillars of Islam are: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger, establishing prayer, giving zakat, fasting Ramadan, and performing Hajj to the House for whoever is able. The hijab is obligatory for women, and growing the beard is obligatory for men. The obligations of Islam include obeying Allah's commands and avoiding His prohibitions, as Allah Almighty said: "O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims." And every Muslim must know Allah's ruling on all their actions. There are also inward obligations, such as love of Allah and His Messenger, sincerity, and reliance on Allah. Learning the laws of Islam is an obligation upon every Muslim.
