Is ritual impurity transferred only to the spot it touched, even if the object was wet?

Impurity is only transferred to the spot it touches, and not to any other place, even if it is wet. Therefore, only the spot afflicted by the impurity is washed, while the rest of the garment that was not touched remains pure. When in doubt about the transfer of impurity, the default is that it has not been transferred.
