What is the meaning of Ijazah in the context of the Quran? Is it a paper on which one's name is written, connecting them to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him? How can one obtain it, and what is the sufficient duration for that?

The Ijazah is a certification granted by the authorizing Shaykh to the authorized student upon their complete memorization of the Qur'an by heart, with proper Tajweed and proficiency. This qualifies the student to teach the Qur'an (Iqra') and connects them through a chain of transmission (Sanad) to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. To obtain it, a prerequisite is the precise memorization of the Noble Qur'an along with the application of Tajweed rules. Some Shaykhs grant authorization to those they deem qualified without obliging them to recite a full ختمة (recitation from beginning to end).
