Semen is distinguished from other discharges by its emission with lust and pleasure, followed by a weakening (of the body). Its smell is like that of date palm spathe or dough. If it is from a woman, it is thin and yellow. As for madhy, it is a thin, whitish, sticky fluid that is discharged upon arousal without gushing or weakening (of the body). Wady is a thick, cloudy, whitish fluid that is discharged after urination or when carrying something heavy. If the discharge matches the descriptions of semen, then ghusl (ritual bath) is obligatory; otherwise, only wudu (ablution) is required. It is obligatory to perform prayers on time with their conditions. Mixed-gender work is not permissible except out of dire necessity, with lowering of the gaze and seeking a permissible alternative.
