What are the pieces of advice and guidance for overcoming the whispers of Satan and abstaining from prohibitions, and is sincere repentance accepted after repeatedly falling into sins?

It has been previously explained that masturbation and watching lewd films and images are forbidden, as they involve looking at prohibited 'awrah (intimate parts) and because they are a cause for engaging in masturbation. One must hasten to sincere repentance to Allah, for He accepts repentance, forgives sins, and transforms evil deeds into good deeds for whoever repents, believes, and does righteous deeds. One should be keen to stay away from forbidden acts, occupy oneself with memorizing the Quran and studying religious jurisprudence, accompany the righteous, maintain prayer, and attend gatherings of knowledge. It is also advised to avoid everything that incites desire, to hasten to marry when possible, or to fast for those who cannot marry, to be moderate in eating and drinking, to choose upright friends, to engage in worship, to integrate into society with activities that divert thoughts from sex, and to avoid excessive luxury in clothing and exciting perfumes. Furthermore, one must be aware of the physical and psychological harms of this habit and raise children to be mindful of Allah.
