Jews are People of the Book, and their slaughter is religiously acceptable if they perform it according to the Islamic method. Chicken meat imported from America or other non-Muslim countries may be eaten if it is highly probable that it was slaughtered according to the Sharīʿah method; otherwise, it is not permissible.
