The answer

Processed meat follows the ruling of the meat from which it is made. If it is from an animal slaughtered by a Muslim or a Person of the Book, then it is permissible to eat, sell, and buy it. This is unless it is proven that it was not slaughtered according to Islamic law (strangled, drowned, electrocuted) or if it was slaughtered by someone who is not a Person of the Book, in which case neither the meat nor anything made from it is permissible to eat.
