How do we respond to the claim made by the People of the Book that if the Qur’an were for all people, it would not have been revealed in a language not understood by most inhabitants of the earth?

There are several ways to respond to the specious argument concerning the revelation of the Quran in Arabic. Firstly, if this objection were valid, then the Gospel would be invalid because it was written in a language incomprehensible to most people. Secondly, the Quran was revealed in Arabic due to its unique characteristics and advantages. Thirdly, because Arabic was the language of the Messenger's people, and the call began with it. Fourthly, the Quran was revealed in Arabic to prove its miraculous nature and the truthfulness of the message, as it challenged the eloquent Arabs and rendered them incapable of producing anything like it. As for how it is conveyed to those who do not understand Arabic, it is done by translating its meanings and learning Arabic, as happened in the early centuries.
