Is the repentance of one who repents accepted if he knows the time of his death, such as someone sentenced to death or someone on a plane that has begun to fall?

A servant's repentance is accepted as long as he has not "ghargar" (gurgled his last breath); that is, as long as his soul has not reached his throat and the unseen has not become witnessed for him. At that point, repentance is of no avail. However, as long as a person is alive, his repentance is accepted, whether he has been sentenced to death, or is suffering from a life-threatening illness, or is on the verge of perishing for any reason.
