Must the four-rak'ah prayers that were shortened during travel be made up, especially if the return date was set and the duration of stay was ten days, and how should they be made up if required?

Out of piety and caution, one should repeat the four-rak'ah prayers that were shortened while residing [in a place], to avoid the disagreement among scholars. As for non-four-rak'ah prayers, like Maghrib and Fajr, it is not prescribed to repeat them. A traveler who is on a qasr journey (83 km or more) and intends to stay for four days is obligated to pray the four-rak'ah prayers in full, according to Malik, Shafi'i, and Ahmad. Abu Hanifa holds that such a person may shorten the prayers unless he intends to stay for fifteen days. Ibn Taymiyyah holds that one may shorten the prayers unless one intends an indefinite stay. If you wish to be cautious and repeat the prayers, then make up for them each day according to your capacity, in a way that does not harm your body or your livelihood.
