What is the ruling on repeating supplications aloud after the mutawwif if that leads to disturbing those praying and circumambulating?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Supplicating in a group led by one person has no basis in the actions of the Companions. Raising one's voice with it is prohibited if it disturbs those performing tawaf, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Let not some of you raise their voices over others in the Quran." It is better for those guiding the people to direct them to say "Allahu Akbar" عند the Black Stone and to supplicate with whatever they wish. Supplicating with words whose meanings are known and beneficial to people is better than supplicating with words whose meanings are not known.
