Is it permissible to adopt the view of Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah regarding the non-necessity of renewing the marriage contract after repentance from apostasy (doubt), due to the difficulty of renewing the contract and the fear of a harmful consequence resulting from it?

It is recommended to supplicate and ask Allah for steadfastness and well-being, to act upon beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds, and to keep company with good people. What is obligatory is sincere repentance and guarding against that which causes apostasy. The relied-upon opinion is that apostasy before consummation immediately annuls the marriage, and the husband has no claim over his wife if he repents. It is permissible to adopt the view of Ibn Taymiyyah when there is a need to avert hardship, if it was actual apostasy and not merely a whisper.
