What is the ruling on a husband and wife remaining together after the husband's apostasy before consummation, given his knowledge and repeated doubt about his apostasy, then his certainty of apostasy, and the wife's agreement to continue after both of them became aware of the ruling?

If the husband apostatizes after the marriage contract and before consummation, his marriage is automatically annulled upon his apostasy according to the majority of scholars. Therefore, he must renew the contract. As for the children, they are attributed to him because he had intercourse with his wife, both believing the marriage to be valid. However, according to Ibn Taymiyyah's view that the marriage remains valid if the wife consents, there is no need to renew the contract.
