What is Ibn Taymiyyah's opinion regarding a woman who apostatized, then was divorced and her waiting period expired while she was an apostate, then she embraced Islam after that? And is her divorce counted, and is she still considered to be under the marital bond of her husband? And is it forbidden to adopt Ibn Taymiyyah's opinion on this issue?

Ibn Taymiyyah's madhhab is that the marriage contract (nikah) is not dissolved by the apostasy of one of the spouses; rather, it remains suspended. If the apostate returns to Islam, the marriage remains valid. We have not come across his statement regarding the ruling on a husband divorcing his wife while she is in a state of apostasy. It is permissible for someone to follow Ibn Taymiyyah if they are comfortable with his opinion; for a layperson, it is permissible to follow someone whose knowledge and piety they trust, and he is one of the greatest mujtahid scholars and imams whose example is followed.
