What is the fate of the old mosque after a new congregational mosque is built next to it? Is it permissible to sell it, or pray in it, or designate it as a women's prayer area, or a school for memorizing the Quran?

If the new mosque cannot accommodate women, the old mosque should be designated as a prayer area for them, ensuring the Imam's voice reaches them. The presence of a road between the two does not matter. However, if the new mosque can accommodate women, then the option that best serves the Muslims should be sought: either selling the old mosque and using its value to build a new one, or converting it into a school for memorizing the Quran for girls. It is not preferable to designate the new mosque for Friday prayers only and suspend other prayers in it.
