What is the ruling on common phrases such as "Later with your Lord" and "Leave God aside"? Is whoever utters them considered an infidel? Do charities and prayers for the dead benefit those who said them? What is the meaning of ill manners with God? Does the Master of Supplications for Forgiveness or prayer for forgiveness erase all sins, including the transgressions of these phrases, without repentance? Are most users of these phrases considered infidels to whom the Hadith: "Whoever has a mustard seed's weight of faith in his heart shall enter Paradise" does not apply?

A Muslim must guard his tongue and be careful in choosing his words. A word that a person dismisses as insignificant may lead him to Allah's wrath and cast him into Hell, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, a servant may utter a word that incurs Allah’s wrath, without giving it any thought, and by it he falls into Hell." From this, it is incumbent upon anyone who intends to utter a word to reflect upon it first: if it is good, then he may speak it; otherwise, he should refrain. As for the specific words mentioned, we cannot pass judgment on them because we do not know their meaning. We advise directing the question about them to the scholars of the country where they are used, as they are most knowledgeable about their connotations. We also caution that if someone utters statements that necessitate his apostasy, he is not to be declared a disbeliever merely based on that until proof is established against him and the doubt is removed.
