Is crying a condition for repentance to be accepted after committing forbidden acts and regretting them?

Praise be to Allah for the blessing of repentance. Know that sincere repentance has conditions that must be met. Crying out of fear of Allah is a blessing, not a condition for repentance. Softness of heart requires practice and constant contemplation of the Book of Allah and reflection on its meanings.

We advise you to increase in righteous deeds, seek out righteous sisters, acquire beneficial knowledge, and listen to religious lectures, such as Sheikh Sa'd Al-Buraik's lecture titled "Sincere Repentance."
