Is crying during repentance or supplication a sign of Allah's acceptance, or an indication of intense remorse and faith?

Weeping out of remorse for a sin is a sign that repentance has been accepted, because remorse is repentance. It is the heart’s anguish over the loss of what is beloved, and its signs are prolonged sorrow and the shedding of tears. However, weeping alone is not enough; one must abandon the sin, resolve never to return to it, and redress injustices, because true remorse is only realized through all of these.
