Is it permissible for the husband to place a Buddhist worship shrine for his wife's family in an isolated part of his house or in a separate storage room, so that they may perform their religious rituals, while taking into consideration his keenness not to have this shrine inside his house, and his desire to show them the tolerance of Islam and gradually invite them to Islam?

Efforts must be made to invite non-Muslims to Islam and to continuously strive to transform their invalid rituals. They should not be enabled to practice their rituals in your home; rather, the rituals of your true religion should be displayed before them. It is not permissible for a Muslim to approve of falsehood or to assist in it, especially in his own home, for which he is responsible.
