Does animosity towards those affiliated with the Islamic current, due to media misrepresentation and portraying them as liars and hypocrites, fall under the Sacred Hadith: "Whoever shows enmity to a friend of Mine, I shall declare war upon him"? And are their adversaries excused by ignorance in light of the diversity of media?

Enmity and injustice towards those who engage in da'wah (inviting to Islam), scholars, and servants of Islam falls under enmity towards Allah's beloved servants (awliya'). A wali (beloved servant) of Allah is one who knows Him, is diligent in obeying Him, and sincere in His worship. This is based on Allah's saying: "Unquestionably, [for] the awliya' of Allah there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. Those who believed and were fearing Allah." And Allah the Almighty said in a Qudsi Hadith: "Whoever shows enmity to a wali (beloved servant) of Mine, I shall be at war with him."

As for showing enmity towards brothers based on what is heard or read in the media, it is undoubtedly a mistake, due to Allah's saying: "O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other." And due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the falsest of speech. And do not spy, and do not seek out faults, and do not hate one another, and be brothers." And his saying: "A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He does not wrong him, nor does he abandon him, nor does he despise him. All of a Muslim is inviolable to another Muslim: his blood, his wealth, and his honor."
