Is it permissible to be named Mane' (منع)?

There is no legal impediment to being named "Māniʿ" (Mani') or other names that do not involve polytheism (shirk), or enslavement to other than Allah the Almighty, or purification (tazkiyah). It may be intended by this naming that he is a preventer of evil.
