Is changing a Quranic word for another, without attributing it to Allah, considered a distortion of the Quran?

What is mentioned about incorporating some words or verses of the Qur'an into a speaker's discourse is known as iqtibas (quotation), and it is permissible if it serves a legitimate purpose. It is not considered an alteration of the Qur'an as long as the speaker does not claim that it is the word of Allah Almighty.
