Does divorce occur if the husband says to his wife: "If you want a divorce, then as of tomorrow you are divorced"?

The husband's statement to his wife, "If you want a divorce, then as of tomorrow you are divorced," does not result in a divorce merely by his utterance, unless the woman responds and explicitly expresses her desire for a divorce. This is based on the statement of Ibn Qudamah: "If he says: 'You are divorced if you wish...' she is not divorced until she wishes, and articulates her wish with her tongue, saying: 'I have wished it.'"
