Are pictures of bears on a child's wardrobe, bedspread, or children's watch forbidden or permissible? Is there a sin in them? Are they considered living beings that jinn can enter? And does their presence prevent angels from entering the place?

Many scholars permit children to play with three-dimensional figurines of animate beings. The reason for this permissibility is to train girls in raising children, and for boys to feel companionship, joy, and activity. This is not limited to females but extends to males as well. The proof for this is what was narrated by Al-Rabi' bint Mu'awwidh Al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that they used to make toys from wool for the children when they fasted on Ashura. The Hanbalis alone stipulated that the depicted toy must be headless or have its head cut off. Based on this, there is no impediment to placing comforting pictures for children in their rooms, or on beds and sheets, and such permissible pictures do not prevent angels from entering the house.
