Is it permissible to be patient with a husband who wears women's clothes, fights his wife over her hijab and commitment, and gets drunk, especially given that a doctor has diagnosed him with a mental illness and that the couple has seven children?

Allah did not forbid intoxicants except for the evils and harms they contain. Intoxicants remove a person's intellect. If a husband harms his wife in her religion and prevents her from fulfilling what Allah has obligated upon her, then she has the right to take her case to court to compel him to cease harming her or to divorce her. If this harm is confirmed and she finds no one to remove the harm from her, then a woman may travel accompanied by a mahram (definition) if one is available, or by trustworthy women. If she cannot find them, she may travel in whatever manner she is able.
