What is the ruling on lying that never harms anyone at all?

Lying is absolutely forbidden, due to the generality of the religious evidences, such as the Almighty’s saying: (O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with the truthful) and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (Adhere to truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise... And beware of lying, for lying leads to immorality, and immorality leads to the Fire). Lying is not permissible, neither in seriousness nor in jest.
