How is an inheritance divided among one full sister and eight full nephews?

If the deceased leaves no heirs except his full sister and the sons of his full brother, then his full sister receives half (a prescribed share) according to the Almighty's saying: "If a man dies, and he has no child, but he has a sister, she shall have half of what he leaves." The remainder goes to the sons of the full brother by way of residuary inheritance, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those entitled to them, and what remains is for the closest male." The inheritance is divided into sixteen shares: the full sister receives eight shares, and each son of the full brother receives one share. The matter must be brought before the Sharia courts to investigate it and ensure that there are no other heirs, wills, or debts that take precedence over the rights of the heirs.
