If the deceased's body is still present in the grave, it is impermissible to exhume it or move it to another location. The grave is a confinement for the deceased as long as their body remains within it. However, if the deceased's body has decayed, it is permissible to use the grave to bury another deceased person. The Malikis forbid its use for cultivation, while many scholars permit it.
