Is lease-to-own (ijara muntahiyah bi al-tamleek) prohibited? And does it differ from leasing with a promise to own? If it is prohibited, is it permissible to remain in a job that involves it due to the lack of an alternative and to fulfill family obligations and debts, knowing that his job is limited to selling cars to the leasing department?

Leasing contracts that end with ownership have permissible and impermissible forms. Distinguishing between them depends on the fulfillment of Sharia conditions and regulations, not merely on the name. It is permissible to work for a company that deals with valid leasing contracts, but it is not permissible to guide customers toward invalid contracts, because that is considered cooperation in sin and aggression. If remaining in the job necessitates guiding towards forbidden contracts, then it is not permissible to continue in it.
