What is the ruling on forming dough – made of flour, water, and food coloring – into different shapes using rolling pins and cutters in kindergartens?

It is forbidden to use flour in making playdough because it involves demeaning food, and is a form of extravagance and wastefulness, both of which are prohibited. Furthermore, it contradicts showing gratitude for Allah's blessings. There is an alternative, which is clay or mud.
