What is the benefit of the Prophet's supplication, may God bless him and grant him peace, before the Battle of Badr, when he said: "O God, fulfill for me what You have promised me," despite his knowledge that God does not break His promise?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, imploring his Lord during the Battle of Badr was not a doubt in God's promise, but rather the fulfillment of the function of servitude, of which supplication is the pinnacle. The price by which victory and support were earned was the servitude to God, which manifested in its magnificent form by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, standing in prayer throughout the night, supplicating and submitting, in fulfillment of the Almighty’s saying: “When you sought help from your Lord, and He answered you, ‘Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another.’” This was the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, way in all his states, for he used to stand in night prayer until his feet cracked, out of gratitude to God, not out of doubt.
