Is it possible for the likes of the Companions to appear again in the Muslim nation?

Individuals like the Companions may appear within the Ummah, but their generation and society cannot be replicated. Allah the Almighty described them and praised them in His Book with many verses, such as: "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are strong against disbelievers, merciful among themselves" and "And the first forerunners [in Islam] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, also praised them, saying: "The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them," and he forbade reviling them. Sayyid Qutb described the generation of the Companions as a unique generation that has not been repeated, and that the Book was their sole source of upbringing, which brought about a materialized miracle in human history.
