Is one who is killed while defending another person threatened by a highwayman considered a martyr, and will his status be with that of the martyrs of wars?

A Muslim must defend his Muslim brother if an assailant attacks him, intending to kill him or to disfigure some of his limbs. He is not permitted to abandon him if he is able to help him. However, if the assailant intends to take another's property, then he must be repelled, unless doing so would cause harm to the defender's person, property, or honor. And whoever is killed while defending a Muslim's life or property has fulfilled his duty, but he is not considered a martyr unless he is killed in defense of his own property, life, family, or religion.
