Is he who dies in defense of his property from theft considered a martyr?

"Whoever is killed in defense of his property is a martyr in the sight of Allah, and he will have the reward of martyrs in the Hereafter, as stated in the Hadith: 'Whoever is killed defending his property is a martyr.' As for worldly rulings, he is washed and prayed over like other deceased persons; he is a martyr in reward, not in worldly rulings."
