Is someone who was unjustly killed in the West while seeking a livelihood, and was generous and giving but did not pray, considered a martyr?

We have previously clarified the ruling on one who abandons prayer and whether they are considered a martyr if killed while defending their life, religion, or property. The view of the majority is that such a person is a disobedient Muslim and is granted the ruling and reward of martyrdom. Some, however, hold that one who abandons prayer is an apostate who has committed major disbelief and has no share in Islam or martyrdom.

As for being wronged, if a person is killed while defending themselves, their family, or their property, then they are a martyr, Allah willing. The consideration is what the person died upon, not the place where they died.
