Is one who dies of an abdominal illness considered a martyr, even if they did not pray, if they were afflicted by their illness and endured patiently?

Whoever abandons prayer out of negligence will not benefit from the Shahada (declaration of faith) nor from any other good deeds or expiations for sins, because, according to the preponderant opinion, he is a disbeliever with major disbelief that expels one from the fold of Islam, as evidenced by the Almighty’s saying: "The example of those who disbelieved in their Lord is that their deeds are like ashes upon which the wind blows forcefully on a stormy day." Some scholars, however, are of the view that one who abandons prayer is a disobedient sinner, and his disbelief is lesser than major disbelief, and that he will be held accountable for it. If he dies due to a cause like a martyr, he will be a martyr like other disobedient Muslims.
